Show jumping?

Hi I am entering a 2'3 jumping class for a local show and our practice jumps are only like two feet and I was wondering if you think my horse would still be okay with the diference? Our jumps don't go exactly 2'3 so I have to practice on 2'. My horse is new to jumping still so that is why I wondered. If you have any advice that would be great!

That's not a huge difference... but generally I like to school 3-6 inches (at least) above the height I'll be showing.

I don't think it'll be that difficult, I'm sure he will do fine. ;) The height difference isn't that large.

Thanks guys. He is new to jumping so I wasn't sure but I need to second guess myself because every time I move him up in height he clears it with no problem. Considering he used to be a trail horse he has hidden (good) talents for jumping. I am so proud of him Thanks again.

Yeah I have learned that it is better to listen to him then do what I think is best. Lately he has had trouble cantering jumps but he really wants to so next time I ride I am going to try cantering them and see if he does good. Thanks so much.
