Hey there everyone!
(I'm a newbee)
I am preparing for a show this weekend(sat), quite nervous.
My horse is lame and can't be ridden for a long time so I am taking a different horse, used to ride him often, but havn't in ages.....
It is jumping, 90cm (not sure what that is in feet...) And I am a bit nervous... On my own horse it is no problem (trust my boy so much! He'll do anything, even did 1.40m in our stable show Puissance) but the horse I'm taking does make me a bit nervous as I'm used to my MUCH bigger boy (my horse Seb is 17.2hh(he's really Huge!)and then Bundi(who I'm taking) is 15.2...)Not used to the size difference!!!
If anyone has tipps for nerves at the actual show, ways to keep my mind off what I'm going to do I'll greatly appreciate it!!! :D

get reacquainted with the horse schooling at home first, so that you are comfortable before the show. showing a new horse (or horse you haven't worked with in a while) can cause stress and nervousness in the both of you and can not only end with damaged confidence for both horse and rider, but also in an increased chance for accidents, falls, etc.

i always say make sure you are comfortable at home over at least 3-6" higher on the horse you will be showing than what you plan to do at the show.
