Speed Derby?

I know that a 'speed derby' is a show jumping event but what do you do and what are the rules? I am just curious to build up my horse knowledge as I'm not a real competition rider.
Does anyone have a definition of a 'speed derby'?

Does anyone know what a speed derby is? Or am I making a complete fool of myself for asking a stupid question?

I've ridden a "jumper derby"... but never heard it called a "speed derby" around here.

Edited to add:
The Jumper Derby is a combination jumper/cross-country course of obstacles and elements with optimum time.

I think speed derby just means it's a single-round competition, meaning if there's more than 1 clear the results are based on time.

There are several types of Jumper derbies. You can have a speed class with faults translated into time, a speed class with clear rounds placing before those with rails, and jump-off style derbies.
