Tall Hunter/Jumper Riders???

Any tall hunter/jumper rider online? I am always the tallest rider at all of the shows on both my local circuit and at "a" shows. I ride hunters on my 16+ hand tall mare. About 16.1 hands. I am almost six feet tall and look a little funny jumping her. I am only 15 but done growing. I also play varsity volleyball (where the height is common). Anyone else know what it feels like to be a really tall rider with a semi-short horse, well at least for them. Oh, and I am not too heavy for my mare, I weigh around 130 lbs.

Im 175cm with rather long legs and I ride a 15hh max arab. We jump as well. Even with my stirrups up for jumping I look really lanky legged on him.

You should google Ian Millar...He is 6'1" tall, as well as his son Johnathan (or Jonathan). He looks leggy on lots of horses. Its funny to see them walking around in the internation ring together as everyone else looks super tiny next to them.

I'm 15 and 6ft also. With a heavy build... The smallest horses I ride are 15hh.

Or Google Mark Todd....he's well over 6 feet tall.

I am over 5'9 and have to ride large horses to look good. However, I have shown horses that were 15 hands and taken them to intermediate in eventing.
This little QH eventually made it even farther.

I"m 5'7" right now, supposed to end up being 5'11" (yikes! Too tall!). I'm pretty good on my horse... considering he's 17.2hh. Lol I also have devilishly long legs... grr.... stupid saddles are hard to fit!

I'm 5'10" and 115lbs at 13 years old. Hopefully done growing! I ride my horses ranging in size from 14.3hh to 16.3hh. I don't do jumpers but I'll be starting eventing with my 16.2hh gelding.

I'm 5'10 with a 15.2hh and a 15.1hh. It's manageable depending on the discipline. You look fantastic with long legs in a dressage arena but then I was always told to have my stirrups shorter than others for jumping, which is a little uncomfortable!

Y'all are lucky! I'm 5'0 and 21 years old and done growing..it stinks being this short, my legs are very short and my instructor always has to put extra holes in the leathers hahah.

I'm 14 and 5' 6"..I HATE it! A lot of girls at my school are tiny petitie things, makes me feel like a cow! I weigh 136 (I workout though, 17% body fat). I am not as tall as my mom yet, maybe 2 more ", so hopefully I will be 5' 8"....grrrr.
