Sandie is JUST learning to jump, my trainer started with her 3 weeks ago, and she is a NATURAL! I'm not that experienced a jumper at ALL but last night someone had a tiny little x-rail up so I went for it, and it was GREAT!!! I'm thinking of trying it again today, I'll see if my trainer will take video for me...Just had to share because I am SOOO excited! Had this mare now for almost 5 months and she just continues to amaze me
thats awesome!! yay!!! i remember first jumping.....so so so much fun even those little crossrails, especially on a horse youve never jumped before! good for you!! =]
oh, and ciscokidd, i absolutely love the quote in your siggie! =]
Did it again today with my trainer present to take video! It's a very short video of one little jump and she hardly even jumped the x-rail but hey, it felt good to be doing it! ;-) He gave me a lot of homework, that's for sure (which you can hear him doing in the video as well lol..."put your hands forward!")
awwww congrats!! it's so exhilirating whey they tuck their feet and really go for it, oh man the first time you're like ugh where does my body go??? bu then it gets better. she is looking good!! a lot more fit for sure!
Thanks everyone!! I'm thinking about trying it again today but moving the ground pole out more so that she really JUMPS it instead of just kinda popping over it My trainer was trying to get me to do it yesterday but I didn't feel ready for it, since I'm JUST now getting into jumping myself and the horse is a brand new jumper too! We'll see, but if I do I am definitely getting him to take video of it!
