My name is Andrea. I live in Bulverde, TX with my husband, 3 kids, and a variety of animals which includes, horse, of courses.
This is my 6 year old mare, Bailey. She's a tri-colored dappled buckskin. She's still in training but at least I am able to ride her now. Been bucked off twice but she's learned that I get right back on! This photo is when I first got her. She was on the chunky side but looks a lot better now.

This is my little snot rocket, Brandy. She was orphaned at 3 months of age and she's 19 months old now. She's coming along very well with her training but she'll still try to pull off a prank now and again. Biting, mostly! Everyone is already making plans to be here for my first ride on her...with the video cameras!

I adopted both of my girls from a horse rescue. Bailey was a "junk yard horse" meaning that the owner of a junk yard brought in a bunch of horses for nothing more than to eat the weeds off of his property. He did nothing about the food situation once the weeds were gone. Brandy's situation was much worse. She is very small for her age right now and her vet thinks that she was dropped early since her mom was extremely emaciated. The vet that attended her mother called the law on the previous horse owner and reported the walking skeletons on the property.
I am happy to have found such a great horse forum! I'm looking forward to learning some training tips from the more experienced folks here.
