    Big hello from SC!

Wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce my 2 very spoiled babies, Dakota and Joker.

Dakota is my 3 yr old Saddlebred/Arab/TB and Joaker is my 14 yr old Irish Sport who was retired from jumping due to a pulled tendon. Both were adpoted from the same rescue. We adopted Dakota in Febuary and the day we picked him up, he was sharing his pen with a gorgeous and very sweet horse. I fell in love with both horses but could only afford to adopt one of them. A few months went by and my husband decided he wanted a horse of his own. We went back to the rescue and found that same sweet and gorgeous horse that was there the day we adopted Dakota. That horse was Joaker. We adopted him last week and have been enjoying seeing the 2 back together again after a few months apart.

Hey and welcome from SC!!! Your guys look like sweethearts! I'm near Columbia - I have 2 Paints and 2 retired QH's - been dealing with lameness issues with my Paint mare. She and I have many trail hours under out belt! My Paint gelding and I hit the trails as often as I can - he's a great trail partner, too! Think you'll really like this forum!

I am down in Charleston. Joaker, we suspect, has a mild case of arthritis in his back legs as he " clicks " when he walks and was retired from jumping due to a pulled tendon so he is just a trail horse for the Hubs now. He is as laid back as they come! Dakota on the other hand is so full of spirit I thought of renaming him Spirit! Plus he looks like the cartoon horse from the movie :P

I love Charleston - love to visit and eat all the seafood I can hold! Your guys are lucky to have you! Sounds like they have stolen your heart for sure! Do y'all do a lot of trail riding?

Not really other than up and down our dirt road and around the large pasture. Dakota doesn't trailer very well and Joaker still needs some more relaxing time before we can start riding him on a regular basis.
