I guess a little intro is in order. My name is Heather. I grew up with horses, but never truly appreciated them. Recently my husband and step daughter decided horses seemed like a good idea. I fought it as hard as I could but they went and picked out a horse anyway. I told them I wanted no part of it so they boarded the new guy (Manny) and got lessons for my daughter. Well just before we were scheduled to bring Manny home, we were at an auction and this pretty little quarter mare stole my heart. So we now have 2 horses and I am more involved than the rest of the family. Funny how your views change when you get older.
So I am now a member of a club that I adore, but looking for suggestions to help improve it. The people in the club are so much fun on show day, but act like the meetings and event planning are torture. I need ideas to help boost membership and make the monthly meetings fun and interesting. We just had a meeting last night. The meeting was so tense, but as soon is it was over we all stood outside for half an hour chit chatting. Then half the group went out for dinner and sat around for 2 hours laughing and carrying on.
Any suggestions to liven up meetings and raise interest. The main issues seemed to be lack of help and lack of funds. Having 2 shows rained out have really hit us hard. I know there has to be something we can do to bounce back
