:c) Hello all :c)

I have just joined... uhm... yesterday? Day before yesterday? One of those last days... and already this forum proofs to be an addiction dump :P Time sinker (obviously, since I don't even know how many days I have spent reading now :P )
Thankfully, I can justify reading it with studying :P

Anyways :) Originally I am from Germany (Bavaria - we are odd :P ) ... lived 2 years in New York, then 5 years in Vienna where I underwent an apprenticeship to be a tourist guide (I think it'll always be the country of my heart)...

But life doesn't always go as one plans it (thankfully). Due to me having found my husband, I now live in Tennessee, USA - where I am a full time student after having volunteered at the GRSM for a year ...

I don't own a horse (made the decision when I was a teenager, that I value travelling a lot and didn't think it fair to the horse - and considering, I hadn't lived in one spot for longer than 5 years over the span of 15 years, I made the right decision).
However, we seem to be settling in very tightly where we are, and who knows, maybe one day there will be a horse of my own on the horizon. We'll see...
My major is Equine Management and Training, hence me being able to justify reading this for studying purposes :P After all, English is not my mother tongue and I need to learn the horsey vocabulary ;)

- that means, I will probably ask the dumbest questions once in a while... Like.. what's the gullet? What's a roach back?

Well :) It is a pleasure to be here and I enjoy reading all the wonderful posts and advice.

All the best,

Thank you, Reiterin :) I'll happily help out with travel tips (and language tips - I read somewhere that you enjoy the German language - beware the nasty Bavarians though that mess up vowel usage :P )

And thanks for the welcome!
