Forum Newbie from Cleveland!

Hello Everyone.
I just joined this forumn and am looking forward to exploring everything and chatting with everyone. We live in Cleveland, Ohio. Freezing cold and snow... though this week has been the exception to that with highs in the 30s! A vast improvement from last week's high of 7! They are even forecasting 40s for the end of the week before returning to seasonable temps.

I can't wait for spring!

We have an Arabian Gelding who we just recently moved to a new boarding facility. Everything seems to be going well so far but it is a big adjustment for us and especially our big guy!

Hello and welcome! We have had our share of cold weather here too. Not enough snow though.

Welcome, I'm also from Cleveland, I was born there and lived all over but always returned there till I joined the army, mom and most of family still there. I live in Florida now, married a Miami guy. I also have Arabs, 2 mares and one on the way(surprise, bought a pregnant mare). Fun games and lots of folks who are very helpful when you need advise, welcome again.

Many people have sighed for the 'good old days' and regretted the 'passing of the horse,' but today, when only those who like horses own them, it is a far better time for horses. ~C.W. Anderson

Wow... buying a pregnant mare. That is quite a surprise. I have seen ads for mares that MAY be expecting or have been exposed but rarely is it a true surprise. Do you have your horses on your own property?
Where in Cleveland did you grow up?

I kept her for a friend while she bred her other mares and she talked me into buying her, she was retiring her (just turned 16), but stallion got her and we just found out 3 weeks ago, she's due in mid-April. They live in the back yard which is just over an acre, and know where my bedroom window is at 5 am, hen mama gets hungry, she's very vocal.

My mom & 2 sisters live in Brook Park, brother in Parma and I grew up off 140th, Fairview and then Brook Park. I've got folks all over up there, last place I lived before moving here as W.14h & Clark. Where you boarding your horse, Metro Park stables? Great riding there, or used to be( horse and motorcycle) been gone for a while, don't know what stables are around.

I board on the Olmsted side of the Rocky River Reservation. We live in Ohio City, so we are a spit from the Tremont spot you mentioned living in before you left. The stables we moved to seems nice. Its in an ideal location for trailing etc, but we are still getting settled in. I haven't really explored around there much yet.
