Greetings From Northern California

This is my second introduction. When I first joined this forum several months ago, I was living in Alaska. Waylaid by real life, I haven't posted here since. Quite a bit has changed over the months, the most important being that I moved down to California. Alaska was not for me, because the part of Alaska I was in was horrible for horses! Now I live in the heart of Northern California's horse country. So, I figured a second introduction was in order.

I still don't have a horse in my life, but I'm edging closer. It helps that I now live in a place that many consider to be a horse heaven. I still hope to experience horses vicariously through all of you until that day when I can have live horses in my life once again.

I'm an adult who has been horse crazy for as far back as I can remember. I'm a very poor rider, so I've never focused on a discipline, but I have quite a bit of academic knowledge regarding breeds (both extant and extinct), horse color genetics, and horse throughout history. I'm always looking to learn more. As an equine artist, I have been focusing on horses for as far back as can remember. I look froward to meeting others who share my interest in the arts and sciences of horses.
