Hi there. I am from the central part of Oklahoma. I bought three horses in February from someone that lost their jobs and couldn't afford to take care of their horses anymore. I wish I could have gotten them sooner because the mare, Ginger, is 175lbs under weight. When I got her she was 30lbs under weight. The weight gain has been slow, but she is getting there. I also got her son and the daddy. I am fixing to get the colt gelded in February of 2010.
I have a goal that when the mare is in good weight I will be able to playday with her. She rides awesome and is quite a charater. She loves to be loved on and returnes the love. She dosent kick or bite. She stands for the farrier and loades great. She dosn't buck either. She only reared once when two of my kids ran right in front of her screaming, so I don't really blame her.
The daddy is a registered paint stallion. I don't like stallions, but my husband thinks there is still a market for breeding.
Between my husband and myself, we have five kids. The youngest is five, and loves to ride!! The oldest is 10 and loves to ride but only if I hold the lead rope (she is afraid of them!)
