Hello all from W-S, NC

Hey everyone! I'm Megan and my horse is Shady, a 10 yo TWH. We live in Winston Salem, NC - so if anyone is near the area HOLLA!!! lol
I'm just a pleasure rider...trails and such. Though, after almost 20 years of riding...I'm starting to get an itch for something more. Maybe endurance trails or something. Who knows!
But seriously, anyone near the area and you want a buddy, let me know! I don't really know anyone to go out on the trails with.

Welcome! I am across the country from you, but hopefully you find a riding buddy. There are lots of great people on here.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
I too live far away but have you ever checked out the competitive trail riders association? The American Competitive Trail Horse Association (ACTHA) | Facebook
they are great folks and we always had a BLAST at the trail rides. they are on facebook and i think they have a web site. I'm sure there are events in your area :)

Welcome to the forum!

When I moved to SC I knew no one so I looked up riding clubs in my area and started from there.

I ride a lot on the Clemson trails and sometimes just show up there alone. When I see other riders getting ready to go out, I'll ask if they mind if I come along. I've met quite a few great riders that way and had a good time. I met my riding partner like that several years ago.

If you are ever down in the NW corner of SC, we always have room for another rider - Will be going up to DuPont in a week or so.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

It's not always what you say but what they hear.

WELCOME, neighbor!

I am next door, so to speak. There is a part time student of mine who is a competitive trail rider. She mis organizing a competitive ride at our farm this spring. I know absolutely nothing about this ride, but will post all about it sooner to the event. It sure would be nice to see some local forum members come out.

Welcome! I don't live in WS right now, but my husband and all of his family are from there so we visit often (were just there a week ago, in fact). Just wanted to say welcome to the Forum. I'm also a pretty low-key rider, do some volunteer work at a therapeutic riding program in my current home of New Hampshire. Hope you find good community and advice here.
