Hello from Calgary, Canada!

Hi, I think it's time to introduce myself "officially" I've been posting for a bit now and realized you guys don't know me yet... shame on me!

I was born many years ago in Switzerland where I used to ride my neighbours horses. At first (I was six when I started riding) he had a couple of jumpers for local shows and 12 years later he had a barn full of top show jumpers he rode on international level and was in the Swiss national team for a while!

In 2001 I went to Canada to learn english, met my (now) husband and moved to Calgary in 2004 after he lived with me for 1.5 years.

In October 05 my biggest wish came true. I got my first own horse!!

Timber is now 12, a QH/TB cross and very eager to please! I'm working cows with him, jump, trail ride, dressage and now I'm training him to cart! We don't do any competitiv stuff, only pleasure and fun! I coudn't have wished for a better horse!!

By the end of 2005 I had the great idea to get a second horse, just in case hubby or a friend or family member would like to come along for a ride...
After quite a search for the right horse, we came home with Sunny Boy in January 06. He is now 6 years old, a paint with one blue eye and if the prev. owners wouldn't have lost his papers, he could have been registered. But who cares, he's a gelding anyways
Sunny is very layed back and as long as there is a horse in front of him, he's one happy camper

Not long after, it was in March 06, we came across MyLady, a Standardbred/Arab cross. This poor girl, only 5yo at the time, has been severely abused and coudn't even be touched. Somehow it was as two lost souls found each other and I coudn't do anything else but buy her! She has come such along way in only just over a year, that I keep hoping we can ride her one day. If not, that fine too, she's going to stay with us forever!

We knew that MyLady woudn't be ready to be trained for a long time and still wanted her to have a "job", something who could help her with her self confidence and let her feel like a horse again. So we decited to breed her. It was the best decicion ever. She changed big time and LOVES beeing a mom! She takes her job very seriously
MyLady gave birth to the cutest little filly on my Birthday!!! If that wasn't a special gift from her to me

We named that little punk Willow and she is such a character! A joy to have around a very quick learner that girl is! I'm so excited to see her grow up!

I guess that's all to know about me
I happy to be here and I'm looking forward to meeting new horse friends from all over the world!

Great looking horses you have! Especially your standardbred x arab mare is amazing 8) ! I'm a standardbred fan (owned one and taken care of plenty) so it's interesting to see all kind of stb-mixes :)
