hello from california

hello all..im new..just recently adopted a polish arabian gelding from a rescue..he is 7 years old and spooks at everything lol..i am calling him Khainon...i hope to give yall updates on him as training progresses etc

thanks very much :) and aye he is a looker...unfortunatly hes very twitchy about anything that he views as "scary dragons" plastic...coats...his halter...hes a challenging one..he saw his reflection in a truck door today...should have seen THAT reaction.

Give him time. My experience with pure or mostly Polish Arabs is that they're super sensitive to anything. I learned the hard way to, more often than not, act like "as if" nothing had happened....brought my gelding back to earth much faster and left him wondering more than once what he had spooked at....

oh i have been doing that..he spooks and i just keep walking,or walk him torwards whatever spooked him,and at the age of 7..i think hes just acting like a kid in a new situation..being scared of everything beings hes only been here for 2 weeks lol

he is cute. There are many horses in CA that need rescued. Hope he settles down some, he should come to trust you and once he fills out and sheds out we will need to see another pic.
