Hello from Connecticut

Hi all,

I stumbled onto this website last week. I am just so impressed by all the good, constructive advice on these forums. I haven't read a single hostile message. I couldn't join fast enough.

A little about me. After many years of leasing TB's on and off, I finally took the plunge at age 40 and got my own OTTB. My only regret is that I didn't do it 10 years sooner. We're having a great time, and since we share the same short attention span, we do a little of everything: dressage, jumping and trail riding. We discovered the fun of hunter paces last fall and eventually I would like to do some lower level eventing. I look forward to posting some pics on the critique forum and see how much work we have ahead of us!

Hi Penny! I'm new to this board too, live in Massachusetts, in the same age grouping as you and also have an OTTB! So, us riders (that are no longer in their 20's) and own OTTB's must stick together! Sincerely, Cathy

This thread is ancient but I did a search for "Connecticut" in thread titles and there were only 3! So, I'm putting out feelers on each of them. I'm new to the forum and also live in CT. Hope to get to know you! I am just beginning to volunteer at a therapeutic riding facility. I have my first barn orientation this coming Friday! Wooohooo! Then I'm off to the races. ;)
