    Hello from Downeast Maine

New to the forum. Hoping to add a little here and there (and take advice here and there) all while trying to get our new tack store up in running in the Great State of Maine. Hope to make some good friends along the way. So, hi there, peeps of the Horseforum.com. Nice to meet you all.

Hi NorthernTack. Welcome to the forum. I've been toying with moving myself and horse up to Maine. CT's getting ridiculously overpriced. How's Maine as a horsey state?

Maine's great! Wonderful clubs...lots of helpful people. Real estate is about the same as it is everywhere. The further you go from a hub, the less pricey it is. Pasture in town is usually fairly high (as it is most places). You'd enjoy the friendly attitudes of most of the people here as well as the helpful spirit. We're located in Washington County. We get the added benefit of being able to go to Canada for events, etc. so, there's never a shortage of events no matter what your equine sport. :)

Welcome to the forum. I want to come with you to a Canadian event. (I'm just looking for an excuse to go to Canada!) =)
Good luck with your tack shop.
