    Hello Horse Forum!

Hello everyone! I just registered to join the horse forum and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 17 years old and I own a red dun Quarter Horse gelding named Dually. I've ridden for almost 10 years now, and after starting my own lawn business and budgeting for 3 years, I bought my own horse when I was 14. My parents didn't know anything about horses. He was VERY green when I bought him (I had the budget of a 14 year old after all); looking back, it was a bad decision... but I was one of those green riders who thought I could handle it Turns out I couldn't, so my parents and I found an awesome trainer who I have been working with for almost 3 years now! I have learned so much about both working with horses and my own weaknesses and strengths as a rider. In addition to continuing to work with my own horse, I have now started working with a halter-broke Morgan mare at my barn (with my trainer's blessing, of course ), and things are going really well! I got to put her first ride on her in the round pen not long ago.

I joined the forum because there is always something else to learn, and I think this is an awesome opportunity to learn from others' experiences. Who knows... I may be able to share some knowledge too!

Hahaha my picture is sideways... but that's ok just tilt your heads!
