Anyway, after riding on and off as a kid and going off at 18 with the idea of becoming a jockey in mind (I'm 5'1", 45kg and love horses so it seemed perfectly logical to my teenage brain) I was packed off to university by my parents. Once I became employed full time a few years ago, I re-started lessons to convert myself from track seat to dressage ("OMG I have legs! I can use them! I have a seat! I can use that too!") and was riding regularly for a few years before I decided I wanted to get my own horse in Jan 2011.
Hello, Brock!

He's a TB cross goodness knows what (but whatever it is made him have big hooves and solid legs), rising 9 yo gelding who thinks he's a stallion - many a pretty mare has caught his eye and brought him...erm...to attention. Four matching white socks and a star-and-stripe, no brands. He's pretty fat at the moment because he's too lazy to bother using his paddock for exercise.
Got a lovely big springy trot and really smooth canter (when I can get him into it) but hasn't had a lot of education so I'm taking it slowly as his first reaction to anything he doesn't like or understand is a gigantic buck. He's also pretty territorial and dominant so I did a heap of groundwork with him and now he's a lot easier to lead, feed and everything else (although I still wouldn't turn my back on him.
Anyway, that's us! I'm sure I'll have tons of questions for all the knowledgeable horsey people on here as we both have plenty of kinks to iron out!
Oh yeah, and we live in Sydney, Australia :)
