Hello from MN!

My name is Sami, although feel free to call me by my username or a variation of it. I'm eighteen years old, been riding for thirteen of those years and am about to head off to college in Montana to become a horse trainer/barn manager!

I ride English, but have ridden Western casually, Side-saddle once, and Australian for about three months. I don't own any horses of my own, but I take that as a blessing as it's allowed me to explore different horses and their personalities! I plan to get my first sometime in my senior year or right after I graduate, but that's a few years away from me, so there's no decision yet. I rode in lessons from 5 to 16, but in the past two years my instructor has moved to a barn an hour and a half away (too little gas money to spend...) and I've gone back to the barn I started at. I no longer take lessons, but I get to go out there and ride any horse I choose. I've tried to stay vigilant with training myself, but it has been hard and I know I've picked up a few bad habits!

Basically I'm here to learn anything I can and turn around and share what I have learned to those that need it! The more I spend on here the more I'll be going through all the forums, not just training and riding. The more I can learn, even if it's just through typing, the better!

Can't wait to really get started on here!

Sami
