After yearning for the company of horses during my childhood I left for farrier school as soon as I graduated from college.
Since then I have been blessed enough to get to work with all different kinds of horses in many different situations.
My first horses were two OTTB geldings. When I got them they had been sitting for 4yrs and had never been saddles post- racetrack. They were both over 17hh and taught me so much. I will always have a soft spot for TBs.
This summer my mom bought a wonderful paint gelding she named Angus (Gus for short) and I quickly joined in after finding a gelding of my own, Roux. We normally ride 2-4 times a week together and we love trail riding especially. Neither of our horses are perfect but the best part about them is getting to spend the time with them and my mom!
I have worked some with mustangs (Roux doesn't have any papers but I have reason to believe he has at least some Mustang in him) and paints in the past but this is my first time owning either breed. (I never thought I would buy a paint! Never say never ).
I look forward to meeting all of you and sharing stories (pictures!) and info!
In the pic of them running Roux is the horse in the front and Gus is right behind.
