    Hello from North Carolina!!

Here's a bit about me. I married my high school sweetheart. He's a Marine and we live near the ocean in North Carolina. I'm 22 years old and we live in a brick home on a cul-de-sac in a little subdivision with tall trees. We share our home with five beasts, Java the Quarter Horse; Fergie the Chesapeake Bay Retriever; Miley the Red & White Irish Setter; Iris the calico cat and Tanith the Royal Python. I'm originally from Michigan and lived for a few years in Southern California before moving to the East Coast. I'm rather passionate about life, and am a really optimistic, enthusiastic person. I am head over heels in love and seem to fall further every single day. I am a newspaper reporter and photographer and enjoy doing both immensely. My husband and I live a very blessed life, and we can thank God every day for that.

My horse, Java is an 11 year old Quarter Horse. I've had him since he was a yearling. He's a very light, buttermilk dun. Although many people assume he's a buckskin. We showed extensively between 2000 and 2006 and now we just prefer messing around. We ran the Quarter Horse circuit and Buckskin circuit in the Midwest but now we're out here in the South.

We ride western and english and we've done everything from halter and showmanship to reining and trail. We're working on jumping at the moment, just because we've never done it before!

I ride every day at a beautiful barn called Equine Country where we board. The photos below are of the barn. There's a tack store on site, which is bad new for me! I'm in there every day buying something else. Today it was a new english bridle, bit and a Roma Wick Easy saddle pad - by the way, the saddle pad is fantastic! It really does keep him sweat-free and dry!
If there's anything else you need to know, just ask!

Thanks, Kentucky - it really is. Today I went out riding twice. Earlier with my Chessie and then later in the ring with two others then we went and trail rode into the lake. I love it because there are always other people riding there and the place is SO nice. I am really lucky to board there.

Prettyinpink- I can't wait until you're here, too! It's going to be so nice!!!

Thank you, Jubilee Rose!! It is a gorgeous place, some senator guy owns it, so it's well-funded.
