Hello from Northern Virginia! :)

Hi everyone! My name's Jess and my horse and I reside in northern Virginia. I work as a mechanic for the air national guard and spend as much as my free time with my horse as possible. He's a 14 year old, 17hh TB gelding who I plan to go into eventing with. I've been riding him since 2010 and bought him in August 2011! He's everything I could ever ask for in a horse and more. I've ridden and taken lessons on and off since I was 7 but it wasn't till October 2010 when I met Jax and started taking lessons at the barn I bought him from that I was able to make an actual commitment to riding and ride 3-5 days a week. He's what's made me realize that I can and will be able to achieve my dreams and goals of competing in the big shows one day.

I look forward to being a part of this forum and making new friends! :)

Well, I had my horse there the winter of 2010-11, and he was in Berryville. Last winter he was in training in Damascus, MD. Not sure I will bring him back this year. Haven't decided. It is SO expensive, especially since I want a place with an indoor, and, I now ride western. Not a lot of places will accept my lil cowpony. Lol

There are a couple right down the street from my house on Dry Mill-all I have to do is get up my nerve and go ask, when I am in town, which is rare this time of year.

Thank you so much everyone for the warm welcome! :) Those of you in NOVA, perhaps it'd be fun to plan a summer trail ride get together at the battlefield trails in Manassass? :) If someone wants a ride I've got a two horse trailer!
