    Hello from Norway :)

    Hello :)

I am from Norway, the land of the Fjord :)

My name is Ida, 21 years old and I LOVE horses.. Been working with horses all my life, both in Norway and Ireland. I own two horses myself, one "coldblooded trotter" and one Norwegian Doel-horse.. Don't know if any of you know about these horses? The trotter is a racehorse to be, only two years old. His name is Jotne and he is still a stallion.

The Doel-horse is a mare called Tussa. She is five years old and pregnant. Before she got pregnant she was my dressage-horse, and we are going to continue on her education when the foal is ready to leave it's mum ;)

I am a studying to be a teacher at the moment, 4 years left of the education... :/ I live at a farm with my two horses, a dog and a cat :)

Here you can see some pictures of me and my animals :)

Me and my boy at the race-track doing some speed-training :)

    My doel-horse :)

I hope to get loads of new horse-friends!!

    -Ida-

Hello Ida! So very glad to welcome you to the forum. I have never heard of either type of horse that you have, but there are many unique breeds of horse in this big world. You will become a teacher for what level? Elementary school? High School? College?
I like the last photo that you posted because both you and your horse have excellent "classical" position. Cheers!

Ps I lease an Appalousa and ride on the trails. I have some training in dressage but now ride mostly Western style, very relaxed. I am now 52, so I don't ride as adventureous as I used to.

    Welcome!

I'm fairly new on here too and have found the forum to be a wonderful resource of information and support. Hope you do too.

Very handsome horses! My grandmother was from Norway, so I have a soft spot for your part of the world. Perhaps I'll see it someday:)

Welcome to the forum! Agreed with everyone else - you have a couple of fantastic horses =)

Good luck with your education, being a teacher is a very rewarding profession, especially when you're working with the young ones!
