My name is Jackie and I am a first time horse owner. I am leasing with the intent to buy a beautiful 18 year old quarter horse gelding named Chubby. I have wanted a horse since I was 5 years old and after 30 years, the dream has become a reality. He is a chestnut color with a small star on his forehead and 3 white socks. He is used as a western cutting horse and also with English. He has won many awards for both styles with the barn owners daughter. The daughters have since moved onto bigger and better horses and so Chubby was left in the dark. I am hoping that when the economy picks up, I will be able to buy Chubby out right and officially become his owner.
I am a 5th grade teacher. I have been married for 10 years, no children, but I have two adorable labrador retrievers named Abbey and Cinder. When I am not at the barn, I'm usually home playing with them and reading. I am glad that I found this forum and hope to learn and contribute as I can.
