Talking Hello from Oregon!

Hello from Tia and Jake in Oregon!
I got my baby boy in January, and have had him for 3 or so months now :)
He's a 15 hand quarter horse, and is 4 years old. I've been working with horses for about a year, but I was just pleasure riding with a friends horse. I have loved horses since I was little, and due to allergies, I was never able to have my own horse. Finally, after 4 years of allergy shots, I'm able to have my own baby boy He's gelded, and has the best temperament!! I'm still a pretty green rider, especially when it comes to competition. I'm doing trail riding and basic western this year, but I'm hoping to get into dressage and english jumping.

I've been looking for a good forum for a while, and found you guys.
So excited to be a part of this forum!!

Welcome to the forum! You'll learn so much here, this place is the best for new owners.
Heck, I've owned my horse for 4 years (and been a part of this forum literally the entire time, they've saved me from so many mishaps. I always think "what would the Forum say?" before I do questionable stuff, hahaha) and I'm still learning more everyday.

Also, I'm from Oregon too! I'm from Gresham, where are you from?

Your boy looks like such a sweetie, congratulations on him!

Rest peacefully, Lacey.

Welcome to the forum!

I was told as a kid that I was allergic to horses....20 some years later I guess I've grown out of it through over exposure lol!
