Hello from SoCal

I actually grew up in KY, but I just never had the opportunity to take advantage of being so close to horses!

I've always been fascinated by them - love their endurance, speed, majestic postures and beauty, now I'm finally able to pursue my desire to get to know horses. My first riding lesson is next weekend, can't wait

So happy to have found this forum!

welcome, socal

It will be fun to hear from you about your first riding lesson. I am excited FOR you!
One thing I might recommend is to take notes after the lesson, and while you take your first lessons, try to get photos/vids to compare with how you are going to ride in a year or two. It will make you feel great to see from where you came.
