Hello from Texas :)

Hello everyone! I am from Northeast Texas and own 3 horses, 1 colt and a baby on the way! :) I use to compete in Barrel racing ...but decided it was getting much too costly to keep it up. I now just ride for fun and train my colt. My retired barrel horse's name is Duke (Chiefs Skippa Duke). He a sooty buckskin Quarter horse coming up on 20 years old. My bay quarter horse broodmare is Holly(Marys Miss Holidoc). She will be 9 this year and is expecting a foal in 2011 (the full sibling to my colt). Her 2010 palomino quarter horse colt is named Elvis(Hollys Boondoc King). He will be 8 months old on Jan. 9th. He is a very confident cutting horse bred colt that definitely has a different personality. :) I also have a (coming up on) 9 year old gray grade quarter horse mare. Her name is Bella and she is what I would consider a dapple gray right now. I also take care of my dad's 14 year old grade black/white paint horse. I will try to post some pics of all of them soon so you can see what they look like. :) I am a recent Texas A&M graduate and I am interested in equine genetics. I've been reading up on the topic a lot. I am very excited to get to know all of you and hopefully make some new friends! I found this forum and found the topics and people on here to be very nice. Thanks again for letting me tell you a little about myself. Hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome Amanda...sounds like you have your hands full!!!

I am from southeast Texas on the coast and trail ride. I have two geldings - both QH's. Sarge is a bay foundation bred coming 9 year old and my newest boy is a coming 7 year old palomino. We enjoy riding at Ebenezer in Jasper and other places near Houston.

Can't wait to hear more about your babies!

Hi there QOS! Thanks :) Yes lol. Thank goodness my horses are all "easy keepers" and I am currently looking for a job.... so not too much. It is very nice to meet you. :) I bet...its really nice there. I've been to Jasper before. I have a friend that is going to be moving her miniature horse ranch to southern Houston. BIG move! Lol.
