    Hello there, from SW Michigan

Hi all! Just thought I'd introduce myself ... not sure how much time I can devote here, but I'd like to give it a try and see how it goes.
I'm a married mom of 2 boys (read as: my free barn help) that trains a few horses a year, mostly for family and friends right now. I also LOVE to trailride, and have been lucky enough to judge a few trail classes in local fun shows. I loved doing it, and I hope the chance comes up again this year as well.
I teach beginners to ride, and I specialize is helping newbies find the perfect horse, and cater private lessons to them ... guess that makes me a hand holder, eh?
I have 4 quarter horse mares and my son's 20 something Shetland that I adore, and I'm glad to say, the feeling seems to be mutual - especially when I am doling out grain.
I also take care of my mother's stock. Several of which are in training now.
For giggles, my training docket now is a 3 year old QH filly (mine), a 4 year old Arab gelding, and a 5 year old Paint mare (both ma's) that are learning to ride, or being finished. Also, a 2 year old QH filly (mine) and a yearling Arab (ma's) that are learning manners, ground work, and being ground driven a little.
So.... hi. That's me... nice to make your acquaintence.
