Hello from Upstate NY

After lurking for several weeks I finally decided to join.

I live in upstate NY with my 5 horses, 7 dogs, 4 potbellied pigs and random cats. The furry gang and I have our own little piece of heaven on top of a mountain. That is if heaven includes lots of wind and usually alot more snow than the valley.

I have shown competitively arabians, NSH's and ASB's but nowadays decided that nothing beats a low key lifestyle. My gang is a rag tag assortment of well behaved good lookers!

I like, of course, riding, but also running, cycling and kayaking. Love a good murder mystery and cooking.

I will have you know that I live in Buffalo, and I don't know where you're getting the windy part from! (Though we have had 30-50 mph winds for the last few days, but THAT IS NOT MY POINT ).

Welcome Big Black Crow! Hope you enjoy the forums :).

Ya, the wind on Saturday was brutal!!! I decided to start getting the gang back in shape for some riding. (way too long since I have ridden regularly...) So I started with lunging everyone for a set time. The wind was brutal! The next day when I went to work them again...sideways blowing snow!

They say back in the 60's by thursday....woo hoo mud!!!!

Thanks for the welcomes...it seems like a relatively happy place!
