    Hello from Western PA

Hi there! I'm a new rider and I just signed up for the forums, so I thought I'd post an introduction. I'm 32 and started taking English lessons again. I took a few (maybe five? Tops) lessons and had some uninstructed riding time 13 or 14 years ago. I don't know why I kept putting it off -- I think I was afraid of failure, but now I'm so glad I started back.

I've had three lessons so far, once a week private instruction. I'd love to do jumping someday; that's my primary goal. I wish I could afford more riding time but it's not in the budget right now. I'm doing OK but I have a lot to learn. Just started working on posting the trot last week.

    So, hi!

    Welcome, sparrowrider!
What fun, learning to post. I think you'll enjoy this forum. I have been on several horse forums before, but this is my favorite. Most everybody here is friendly and helpful.
We ALL suffer from not having enough time to ride--get USED to it! LOL

Welcome to the forum. I'm so happy for you getting back into riding. It's my sanity. Though I do not ride a particular style. I mostly trail ride. Get on and go.
I'd like to learn english, but like you fear of failure, among other things keeps me in a western saddle running laps around the arena.
