My hubby and I are GP's (grandparents), pushing the 70's. Our soon-to-be sixteen year old GS has come to live with us. You guessed it... along with GS.. comes his precious 13 y/o horse.
So... you see we, mostly me, have a lot of learning to do about horses. I have many questions..... hope you guys can guide me along the way.
Just reading a little on this forum... it seems it is mostly young people. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not so old that I can't learn from the young.
So... here goes with the first question. We have an old, small three stall barn on our place. We cleaned up one stall... put down wood pellets over the dirt floor. Using local grass hay plus grains for feed. Hubby and I have a discussion over wood pellets vs. cedar shaving for flooring. What is perferrable? We are in the northwest part of USA with much rain.
Thanks in advance...
