Hey

Hello!

My name is Amanda. I'm from Ohio. I just recently bought a lovely little Impressive (HYPP N/N) filly named Challengen Tradition AKA Piper.

WooHoo, welcome to the forum Amanda. And if that is Piper in your avatar, she is a gorgeous girl. You're going to like it here.

Thanks! I tried horsetopia but all their posts had to be approved... I was like where is my post? It got frustrating. Yep, that is my girl.

Yeah, this is a really nice site. Even fairly heated debates are allowed so long as it doesn't turn into personal attacks on each other. I have learned a ton since I joined. I just thought I knew about horses after 25 years with them. Boy was I wrong.

Then I came to the right place because I want to learn, lol. I'd love to start showing next year. Piper is currently in training....so hopefully I can do something with her. I've never shown before.

That is one area that I still don't know a whole lot about but there are lots of people here who show on a regular basis and do well. And there is no question that won't get some kind of answer here. Usually though, it gets several different options as an answer.

good luck w/ your halter filly! I had a N/N Dominate Clu filly that was one of my favorite horses that I showed! Are you planning on riding your filly or showing her in halter? Is she a Misters Tradition daughter?

She's an Enduring Tradition (Noble Tradition) filly. I don't plan to show big right now. Maybe years down the road I'll show bigger. I just want to show on a few open shows and stuff to get the hang of it. I'll probably have my oldest son (almost 7) show her next year in Junior Horsemanship..? I want to try trail or western pleasure on her.

Howdy ma'am, and you did come to the right place.

A good cowboy always has a better horse at the end of the ride, a poor cowboy will be afoot reguardless of the horse.
