    Hey Arkansawyers!

    Any other Arkansans out there?

If so, tell me about your horses ^^ I'd love to hear more about them!

Any trail rides coming up or great stories you wanna share? Go ahead!

Maybe I'll start a Skype group for all Arkansas riders!

    Wanna know about me?:
I'm 15 and have been riding around 8-9 years. However, I'm going back to the basics to relearn and go into barrel racing. I'm obviously a western rider and currently own 1 horse. My grandpa owns 2 that I ride, Spirit and Rocky.
Spirit is a thoroughbred/standardbred cross and is a bay mare at the age of 14-16 years old. She uses a leverage bit and has a stubborn attitude and a stronger will to match it.
Rocky is a Quarter Horse/Arabian cross (quarab) more then likely, and he's a great jumping prospect. It seems his coat is a buckskin/palomino mix with dapples, he's pretty but odd. He's my future to-ride-English-maybe horse and is like a little brother. He acts like he's king of the barn and is a gelded colt (4-5 years old). Rocky enjoys noogies and shoving his weight around, but me and Spirit keep him in line.
Roani is my horse, I own her and will be using her as a more center horse. She's a great barrel racing prospect and has the speed, agility, and the attitude to match it. She's a 6 yr. Old filly and is nicknamed Pepperoni for her personality. She's great and groups and social circles, but she has a spice you don't notice until you taste it.
We currently think Roani is a Morgan, as she seems half gaited. She's a beautiful bay roan.

    Tell me about your horses!

Serelin, Enjoyed your post....I live in NWA and have a 19 year old Peruvian....I am a senior citizen who has just started riding after several years....Just enjoy being around horses but lack some of the necessary skills in horsemanship....Therefore, thought this forum would be good for me...No matter your age, you never outgrow your love for horses...

Zarra and Serelin, I'm also in NWA and I have one mare, a 4 yo Saddlebred. I train in Siloam at Isuba Valley. My mare has never been on a trail ride, but I'm sure she would love it. Would love to find a great place to take her!

Maeve is my lady, she's almost 5 and is being trained for Hunters and English Pleasure/Dressage. She's gorgeous, the favorite among the resident geldings, loves attention, and is very inteligent and aware of her surroundings. She is usually convinced that all things are evil and will surely eat her. Quite the spooker.
