Hi! :)

Hi, im new to this forum after returning to the one I used to get on a year later to find you had to pay. Anywho, this one seems a lot like it, so I thought id join.

A little about me:
I ride and train for a living. I have owned 4 horses. This year, I had to say goodbye to my older horse, Toby, who was an Appendix QH when his cancer returned. He was the horse to taught me the ways of the world, I miss him dearly. I also sold my 2003 Oldenburg gelding, Carnegie Hall, back in October and couldnt be more thrilled for him and his new owners. They are crazy about him, and rightfully so, he was awesome. I recently purchased (why, I don't know) 2 3yo Morgan field-muffins, Above the Stars (Cuddles) and Stylish My Maria (Maria). They don't do much of anything, because they were born and raised field-muffins. However, in the 1 1/2wks I've had them, they are lunging well enough, had their first farrier experience which was uneventful to say the least, and are slowly on the way to becoming show ponies...emphasis on the slowly.

That's pretty much it...i look foward to using this forum a bit more than the last one and as a place to log my horses progression in training.

Thank you Reiterin..it was very very hard. We couldve done the surgery again, but there was no gurantee it wouldnt come back. He had a happy retirement and a good life, and I think he knew it was his time.

Welcome (although I'm also new here :))! I'm sorry about Toby but luckily he had a good life with you and you have lots of beautiful memories about him.

Thanks guys...and nice to meet you all!

Yes, Toby was a special guy. Gentle giant you could do anything with...except use bags, whips, or anything like that. He was quirky, and in the last year he become so naughty! But in a good way I guess...he was still good for everything, like the farrier, vet, deworming, etc. Other things, simple things, he would try to get out of doing...but I could never stay mad at him too long. :)
