Hi from Alabama & question about tracing horse's history

I just registered for this website forum.

I'm in South Alabama and am glad to find this website with forum!

Could someone tell me what area to post in to get some help or advice in tracing my horse's history?

I don't have any papers, but he has a brand and I have a photo of it. I also know the region (although not specifically) where he may have been from originally.

    Thanks in advance!

I was going to say look them up with whatever association he is registered with but when I read your post about not having any papers then that does not apply.

In ref to his brand I don't really have any advise other then maybe posting some pictures on here there is a chance someone may recognize it.

Also, what is the horses breeding. AQHA is pretty good with helping, a friend of mine said she sent in blood to see and they traced her horse but I don't know if they offer that for real or not. I have never looked into it.
