    Cool Hi from Australia!

    Hey All!

I'm Becky, and along with a few others (as I've noticed) am from the land down under :) I'm 18 and just finished school, attending university next year.

As far as horses go, I've never had my own horse (unfortunately *sobs*) but am convinced that my time WILL come eventually! Haha. In saying that, although I havent owned my own horse, I have been riding for almost 7 years now. For the first 5 years I was riding for pleasure with little instruction. A little 13.3hh grey mixed bred mare taught me the basics and showed me how to do the fundamentals. For the past 2 years though I have been taking my riding seriously (well, for fun too, but you know what I mean!) and have taken a real liking to showing and dressage.

At the moment I am riding my instructors new pony 'Morning Mist' (you guessed it: aka Misty) who is a 7y/o, 14.1hh Grey Welsh B Mare. At the moment she is competing prelim but training novice. She's going super well and I am quite proud of her! Her laterals are going well, and she is just learning to do gridwork. She does have long feet which are in the process of being fixed, and needs some more muscle tone and top line, but hopefully she will be ready for the spring show season! Exciting!

So yeah, that's pretty much the basics of MEEE. Other than being a horse freak, my other passions are reading (twilight.. weeeeeeeeeeee!!), interwebzing, art/sewing/creative stuff and model horse collecting on and off.

Hope to see you all around! This place looks pretty cool!

Welcome to the forum, Becky! Nice to meet you.

I'm sure your day of owning a horse will come soon! Just finish up your education and that day will be here before you know it I bet.

Have fun posting :) See you around the forum

Thanks for the introduction! :) I'm sure that day will come too.. like every horseless girl out there I just wish it would come a little sooner! Haha.

This place seems to be very informative which is great! Somewhat opinionated too, but it certainly makes things more interesting! I like it

    See you around!

Hi Becky! My name's Siobhan and I'm from Australia too! I'm also one of those unfortunates who hasn't got a horse, and I happen to live in a country town where you're the odd one out if you HAVEN'T got one! *sigh* I know where you're coming from!
Anyways, thanks for replying to my thread earlier, and I look forward to chatting with you on the forum!

Hi Siobhan!! Yay another Aussie :) It's awesome to meet other horse nuts in the same horslessness situation sometimes! Although I get to ride and compete like most others around here, it sucks to be in the minority that doesnt have their own horse!

And no worries about your thread! Glad to be of help! Catchya around!
