Hi from Germany

Hi, Im from Germany. The forum is very interesting for me because I can meet many new people with the same hobby, and I would like improve my English.

My horses are Klara (6 years old-Warmblood) and Blackmoon (18 years old-a little halfblood pony-breeding from Man oWar).

Two years ago I started with the Western riding. Previously, Ive ridden in English styl since I was 9 of age (Now Im 38 years old)

@Reiterin:
Thanks. I live in a little village in the north-east from Germany. On the ride I had a lot of forest around.

@gimmlinchen: great

Hi Klara,

My name is Caroline. Your horses are just gorgeous. You look very natural in Western tack, and so does the horse. Do you compete in reining? I know it is gaining in popularity in Germany and that Germany competed in Reining at the WEG. Do other horse people think it is strange for you to ride Western? Do they look down on Western riding? I am just curious about the German viewpoint of Western riding and culture.
Ciao!

Hi!

Western riding is really popular in Germany! And so is reining, probably because it is spectacular. My horse lives at a reining stable, although that is the last thing we would do (a TB is not quite the horse for reining...)

Thanks Caroline. Im just starting with the Western Riding. Important for me is the gymnastic training in the line the old classical dressage. With my coach we work on the mnaeuvers from Western Riding and Trail work. At Tournaments I'm tired. I would say I am a hobby allround rider. In my area is the Western Riding as not popular. In other region the situation is different (look to the post from gimlinchen) In summer around here again will be Horesmanshipcamp. There Trainers come from U.S. Maybe I'll join in. There we also work with cattle.
