Hi, I'm Alex, and I'm addicted to horse forums

    Hey everyone!
I'm Alex, I'm turning 18 in a few weeks, and I live in California. I just sold my 16 year old appendix and bought a 6 year old Arab named Lady Blue. I've been riding since I was seven and Kismet the appendix was my first horse. I loved him and I wanted to keep him forever but reality made a rude visit and I realized I had to move on if I wanted my riding to go anywhere. He was an ex-police horse, absolutely bombproof, but not very energetic or enthusiastic.
My new horse is as far from lazy as you can get! She's spirited but sensible, and very sensitive and willing. She's greenbroke so I'm working with a trainer to turn her into a nice little hunter or lower level dressage horse. Despite her lack of experience she's quite the trail horse.
