    Hi from New Hampshire

    Hi,

My name is Alex, I'm new here. I didn't know there was a place like this, I found it a couple of days ago. I love it already. I don't get to connect with other horse people much, right now anyway. The barn I'm working at only has a couple of boarders and the trainer/instructor quit a couple of months ago.

I started riding when I was a kid. I eventually found 3-day eventing and loved it. I don't have a horse right now but I had five over the years and worked at many barns. I took a long break from horses when my kids were young and my son had serious problems.

I found my way back to horses last year. The barn where I'm working has 15 horses (two of them colts) and 3 rescues that just arrived. They are like all my horses (you get really attached when you work with them all the time, if you know what I mean). I can ride the barn's horses when I want to.

I hope to have my own horse in the future. I'd like to get back into 3 day eventing. I have a preference for Paints and Friesians, (The Friesian will probably have to wait unless I come into a windfall of money).

There is a Paint I'm working with at the barn, but I've had to start her from ground zero because she hasn't been used in a long time, had very little history before she came here and got a bad rep because she spooked a little. She is the sweetest horse I've ever met and I've fallen in love with her.

I look forward to chatting in the forum.

    Alex
