Well, the sad thing is I don't own a horse. But I am horse crazy and have been as long as I can remember. I started drawing horses and in turn drove many teachers nuts with horse doodles over all homework. I took lessons, and worked in the barn for years. Then my family and I moved.
I haven't managed to get back to the horses since, although when I visit my friends I still get a ride in. I do miss them terribly.
I try and comfort myself imagining adventures of my Breyer horses. (I'm a writer too.) I also started a websit
e and loaded horse art in some Cafepress shops. I figured I couldn't stop drawing if I tried. I'd draw if I only had a crayon and napkin, so why not start a shop?
Anyway it's nice to find this site and see what's going on with other horse lovers. And one of these days I still dream I'll have my own horse, even if it's a gimpy old nag that's only good for brushing.
