Hi From Southern Cali- Antelope Valley US

    Hi,
My name is Chrystyne and I just started riding lessons. I had a friend growing up who had horses and went horseback riding a few times. Always wanted to ride, own a horse etc. but never had time. I finally have the time and am ready to give it my all....I have been looking for a good place to get supplies etc in my area and have not had much luck. Any recommendations would be helpful! My goal is to eventually own my own horse...right now just learning everything

    Chrystyne

Welcome to the forum I buy almost all of my horsey stuff online. Just a tip though, when it comes to supplies its best to put the horse before the tack. There are different sizes to almost everything that goes on the horse. I'd hate to see you buy a saddle or bit and have it not fit the horse you buy. Even blankets can be too long for a short backed horse or vise-versa. Brushes combs and horse "care" things you can buy to your hearts content

Oops I forgot to mention places
    Ones I like:
    Smartpak.com
    Horse.com
    Doversaddlery.com -More english tack
I think if you google horse tack you'll find more than you need.

Thank you! I am not going to buy anything for the horse until I buy one, like you said. I was mainly looking for a place that sold helmets, breeches, etc. I found a store about 30 minutes away and got what I need so far! I will definitely check out those websites. Thanks for your reply.
