Hi from sweden :)

Hello, I'm a 16 years old girl and new here. I'm living in the very cold Sweden. First I want to say that my english sucks, so excuse me for writing so wierd. Well, I really love horses, I have a pony, who's my everything, I spend most of my time, trying to make him happy and healthy. I also try to keep my horsemanship as natrual as possible. Ride is fun, but for me the horses are the most interesting thing.

I joined this forum to learn better English, in a fun way (write and read about horses) and I hope to meet some nice people to talk about horses!

Hi, welcome! Your english is very good, I am impressed.
How cold is it where you are? I'm in Scotland, we've been getting -5C but today is mild at 3C. Lots of rain and mud.

Right now it's about 1C but it was -20C a week ago, It has been snowing for a few days, but now it rains, so it's not so cold at the moment! :)

How does your pony cope with living out in the cold? Do you have a stable you can use or somewhere to ride in the winter?
I am not doing a lot of riding just now as its too wet, we don't have an arena or indoor school.

My pony has no problem with that, he's out 24/7, and he has a shelter in the pasture and free access to food, (what do you call it in English? The swedish word is ''lösdrift'') He also has a very long and thick fur that keeps him warm in the winter.

Usually we ride in a paddock (is that the right name?). But for most, we go out for walks in the forest. If you have warm clothes, the cold won't be a problem :) But this week it isn't more then about-1C, so it's quite warm, haha.

Today it was too slippery to ride in the paddock, (ice all over the place), so we clicker-trained/trick-trained instead and then took a walk in the forest! :)
