Thought I would say Hi ya'all and introduce myself. My names Sarah and I live in south central KY. Been riding for many years and still learn something new every day, which is what makes it so interesting. I mostly enjoy trails but I intend on competing in a few shows this year to get my feet wet, I don't know if I will show saddle seat or western or both. I ride a Tennessee walking horse named Haze, but I also have a haflinger named Eddie, a mini horse named Buddy and a mini horse named Shadow, an appaloosa named Bubblegum and a Arabian cross named Colt. My enthusiasm ( should I say addiction?) to horses has rubbed off on most people I hang around with so that now I have my own little posse....lol. Once they hit a trail with me they tend to see why its all that I talk about. Soon they are buying a horse of their own.
My Mom and Dad always thought I would grow out of it, or at least lose some of the excitement but I'm turning 33 years old on thursday and I havent lost any of the original interest.
that's why I'm on here, I don't want to wear friends and familys ears out talking about horses all day so I figured I would get on here and talk to other people as horse minded as I am.
I have other interests too of course but except for my children, none that I am as passionate about. I also enjoy muscle mopars,I have a 73 dodge charger with a 440 motor in it,we cruise the somernites cruise in somerset KY. Reading is fun and catching movies at the cinema, hiking, camping, fishing, playing with my kids, flea markets and antiquing, auctions, surfing the net ( which is what led me to you good people),demolition derby, horse shows of any type or breed, traveling out of state, throwing parties, and so on and so forth.
My big plans for this summer is to throw a trail ride party, probably in April, the plan is to have a two or three hour ride, bon fire, live band playing outdoors and a big cook out all rolled into one. I don't know how it will go over but I figure it will be fun for us no matter how many people attend. So wish me luck on that.
And if ya'all live near Lincoln County Kentucky you're invited!
