    Howdy from Texas!

Hey y'all, it's great to be here. My name is Madison. I just joined this forum after I "studied" it for a little bit and decided it was my kind of place. I love horses just like a bunch of y'all do and I can't wait to get started. So I thought i'd start with a hello!

I just wanted to share a little of my story to let you guys know a little about me/my life. I don't own any horses, i'm still 15 and living at home going to school. My family and I don't have the room for horses unfortunately but my friend is in college and begged her Daddy for a horse so he got her one. Well now she never spends time with it or rides it because she is never home. It stays at a stable, usually in a stall all day. Her horse is an Arabian, only 2 years old and broken. Someone needs to ride that filly! Just recently she asked if I wanted her. Well of course I DO, but we don't have the room like I said. So right now they are keeping her, and me and my parents have been talking and i'm going to start taking care of my friend's horse for her and riding it and after a while if everything goes well (which i'm praying it does) I may get to keep her. :) We do have stables really close to my house and I can drive soon so that would work out. I've ridden horses almost my whole life. I started riding at age 6 and rode for about 6 years then had to quit. I honestly can't remember why I had to but i've started up again. I've always loved riding and horses in general. Thanks for reading this and i'm happy to have joined.

Welcome to the forum! It's really a great place. Lots of friendly people and tons of information!!! If you don't mind me asking where are you from in texas? You can PM me if you don't want to say it publicly. I'm also from Texas so that's why I'm wondering.

Welcome from another fellow Texan. I'm in the DFW area.
Something you might consider (because of your age) is leasing a horse or maybe offering some labor at a stable in exchange for riding priveledges. The only reason I suggest leasing is if you go to college, it's really hard to figure out what to do with your horse.

    Anyway, welcome !
