I'm looking forward to meeting you all. I have popped into Horse Forum on many a web-search looking for information on this that or the other, and have always found such valuable information coming from you all, and finally thought I would get in on the conversations. :) (About time, I'd say).
Looking forward to sharing ideas and learning some good tricks and tips.
I live in Halton Hills Ontario, and currently lease just the one horse (in my photos). We've been going through a process of re-schooling, getting him ready to step up his training to the next level. This summer we did a few schooling shows in our area, and are looking forward to a winter's worth of work in gymnastic work for his jumping and lots of dressage - I'm sure I will be on quite a bit looking for opinions on things to try. He's a 12 yo Oldenburg-TB, started at 5 yo. He's smart as any horse I've ever met and with personality plus some.... aka he can be an annoying nuisance or a brilliant partner. Sometimes the mouse on the wheel gets going a little faster than his feet and I run into issues - so I find my riding and my training with him is all about finding new things to do with him and the more complex the lesson often is the better to keep him a half step behind me.
That's my horsey-life in a nut-shell!
