    Talking New :)

Hey! I'm Amber, just joined yesterday! I currently live in North Carolina but we will be purchasing a home in NW Florida this fall/winter. I'm married to the man of my dreams and we have a very hyper 3 1/2 year old son, Kaden.

I was around horses a little growing up but mostly draft horses.. That was until my favorite Aunt moved back home from Texas when I was 7 or 8. They moved into the house next door and kept their purebred, double Bask bloodline Arabian mare, Hi Style Toi (Toi Marie) and their once wild and formerly abused Quarter Horse/Mustang gelding named Roman (Manly) in our field.. Along with an array of other horses they took care of for different periods of time, I was helping take care of them, riding them, etc. every day and she made me into the horse nut I am today!

I still have not had my own horse and since moving away from Wisconsin a few years ago and I haven't been around horses much. Roman died almost seven years ago and luckily I got home this spring to say goodbye to Toi before she had to be put down.

Since we are finally buying a home (alright I'm only 21, he's 25 so it hasn't been that long. :) ) I am fiiiiinnnaaallllly getting a horse in 2012!! As soon as we buy our house I'm going to begin the process of designing my barn, putting up a nice white fence and getting everything ready!!! :) :) I'm also considering, since I will have the barn and fence before the horse, doing some rescue work. I've been talking to some rescues down where we will be living and they think it's a great idea.. Husband thinks so too! So glad I married a man who supports my dream without even asking why!!

Me & The Prissy Miss (Hi Style Toi) a week before she was put down.. Poor Mami. :(

Me & Toi's colt, Stumpy.. His big ole butt is soo comfy.. :)

And this is Mr. Stumpers last year with his summer coat..
