Not really sure how else to start. My name is Tim. Full disclosure I work at a horse rescue in Ontario, Canada, as their photographer/media person, however I am here to join and take part of discussion on my own accord.
Little bit of background: My first job was mucking stalls in exchange for riding lessons. At 12-13 years old I was working hard with the goal of riding. Never did get those riding lesson though haha. Since that young age though I was hooked.
I went to school to study journalism and photography and found myself covering a lot of stories on horse slaughter and the impact it has been having. One of the people I interviewed started her rescue, and here I have been since.
I have a lot to learn about horses, but know enough to keep up with conversation, sometimes even contribute. I really hope to learn more and get involved in this community. Thanks!
Oh I should mention our horses.
We have 12 right now.
9 Quarter horses, a Standard, a Clydesdale, and a very fussy Black Morgan.
