I've been scrolling through the forum for a couple of weeks and thought I'd share a bit about myself and my new horse, Bleriot.
While I rode and competed when I was younger for most of my life, I immigrated to Australia for nine years, and just recently moved back to Canada. What's a gal to do? Ride again of course. I was a jumper, but now I'd like to try dressage as well (it's always fascinated me - and my sister is a dressage rider and my horse has the movement). I got my ten year old, 17.3 hh, Oldenburg gelding about 5 weeks ago. He was started at 5 years old, ridden intermittingly then pastured for 2 years while his owner started a family and so now I'm restarting him (with the aid of a trainer). Here's some pics of my lovely mellow dude (My friend is riding in some pics so I can take pics - she's the blonde, I am not). It was his first time over fences in a very long time.
He's starting to pick up nice muscle, lose his winter coat and is coming along, I'm very happy. He's a once-in-a-lifetime horse for 'me'. I've ridden nice, talented horses before, but we 'click'.
