Im from the UK and im new to the forum and horse riding. I've always had a keen love for horses from a very young age. I started riding lessons when I was 11 years old, after nagging my parents for years lol, but due to a bad riding fall and starting comprehensive school I sadly grew away from riding, something I now really regret. Now aged 26, working full time and enrolled in university I've took the lunge into the lovely world of horses and riding again.
My next door neighbour owns 2 cobs and a shetland pony (which has just had a beautiful foal). She has kindly offered for me to ride again as one of her cobs needs a rider and im starting everything from scratch including the caring of the horse, mucking out, grooming etc and bonding with horses again to prepare myself for owning my own.
Im enjoying reading everyones threads about their own experiences and seeing how passionate everyone is with their own horses and riding. I eventually want to be able to do cross country and jumping and seeing how well everyone else on here is doing is giving me the push to further myself.
If anyone has any good hints and tips you would like to share to help me along gaining experience and bonding will be greatly appreciated.
Im looking forward to seeing how everyone on the forum is getting on with their horses x
